CARS Ministry (Christian Auto Repairmen Serving) Will continue in Spring

Gentlemen, this is a fabulous opportunity for service right in our own backyard. CARS is an automotive outreach to single moms and widows in our community. Three areas of service are offered:
• Repair Service Ministry provides basic oil change and safety check service.
• Cars Donation Ministry accepts cars to be given to needy single moms. As you can imagine, there is always a high demand for this service, so cars are distributed to active members of the congregation first. We are always looking for cars if you are so led to donate yours.
• Caring While We’re Repairing Ministry provides breakfast, fellowship, life skill classes, Bible study and a place to network with other people who are waiting for their cars to be serviced.

9:30-11:45 a.m. - Winter session not in progress

A non-denominational international Bible study which meets weekly September to May. Women from all over the area come for in-depth Bible study.  Our morning begins with a time of fellowship and light refreshments. Then, we open with music and a short presentation before we move into our small groups where we review our homework questions. The morning concludes with a half hour lecture. We offer an awesome Bible-based children's program -- your children ages 1-5 are learning while you attend the study. The MOPS Story

Eight women. The number was small, but the need was great. The first MOPS meeting took place in February 1973 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. For two hours, while their children received care, these mothers talked, laughed, ate, passed a basket for childcare expenses, had a craft demonstration and ended with a short devotional. In this humble beginning, the seeds of the MOPS concept and format were planted. Through friendship, creative outlets, and instruction, the women began to understand that "mothering matters." Today, the same needs for significance are met in much the same way in MOPS groups across the United States and around the world.

MOPS groups are communities that strive to meet the needs of every mom with children from birth through kindergarten. MOPS recognizes that urban, suburban, and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single, and married moms all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be. MOPS groups can help!
There are more than 3900 MOPS groups meeting across the United States and in 35 countries around the world. MOPS groups meet regularly to celebrate the joys of motherhood and to encourage each other through the challenges.

Today, right here at Hope Church, MOPS continues to nurture the needs of mothers of preschoolers! We meet twice a month, the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month.

If you are interested in attending a free meeting, please email us at mops@hopechurchct.org  we’d love to share with you!!

MOPPETS:
Quality Childcare for MOPS Meetings

Who cares for your children while you relax, learn, talk, and eat a HOT meal at a MOPS meeting? This is where the MOPPETS program comes in! You can rest easy during the meeting knowing that your children are receiving quality care from our MOPPETS workers just down the hall. Children in the Moppets program are nurtured with the love of Christ, taught a lesson from the Boz curriculum, given a small snack. If for any reason your attention is needed, the children are just down the hall!

MOPPETS drop off begins promptly at 9:15am on MOPS days. Please arrive on time to drop off your children so our meeting can remain punctual.

Download the MOPPETS registration form by clicking HERE.

If you think you might be interested in MOPS, you can come to your first meeting for free! Just let us know that you are coming by emailing mops@hopechurchct.org.

Small Groups

If you’re looking for a place to make some new friends, experience a sense of community and find people to journey together with you in your faith, small groups are the place for you.

What’s a small group? A small group is made up of three to sixteen people who meet regularly (at least twice a month) for the purpose of Bible study, fellowship, prayer, encouragement or service with the focus of the group remaining on growing in Christ together.

Most of our groups meet September through May. Please visit the get connected page or click the Oasis link (students: middle school thru high school age) to learn more about opportunities for joining a small group.
